After talking to my roommate about my ideas for the show in the spring, she showed me the work of JJ McCracken (who spoke at MICA a month or so ago but I missed it due to class). A self-described "active installation", Stasis is 5 workstations that are staffed by anonymous, paid workers who remain internally-focused, completely occupied with the task at hand. Love it.-Rachel
