Afghan Hands

Afghan Hands:

A non profit organization which has created educational centers in Kabul, Afghanistan where widowed women have the opportunity to acquire skills (i.e. embroidery) and earn wages for their households. The centers have allowed them to gain independence and sustain themselves financially through the crafts they have learned.

Fashion design company Jolibe has recently worked with Afghan Hands for their Spring 2010 collection as well as for their Spring 2009 show.
